FileZilla is one of the best FTP clients i've ever used, works on different plataforms and it can also manage FTPS and SFTP connections.
This application is not only easy to use, is also available in many languages, supports resume and transfer of large files, it comes with a Site Manager so you can keep up with all your work from one application, you can drag and drop your files for transfer, you can change the transfer speed, it supports network configurations and the list keeps going and going like the rabbit but, this one does not require batteries!
