Checking your email from your computer is now better, faster and even safer thanks to the guys from Mozilla.

Yes, i know this is not the first application from Mozilla i make reference to on my list of Useful things and gadgets but, i really believe that this application is actually very, very good. So, in order for you to know why i am a fig fan of Mozilla Thunderbird i need to explain why.

Organization
To me, this is a big plus. I receive way-to-many emails every day, not only from clients of mine but also from friends and family. You must agree with me that sometimes is just hard to keep up with everything at once so, keeping everything organized is a priority for me. Mozilla Thunderbird allows me to keep all the information handy for when i need it, and not only that, they also offer a load of add-ons and extensions so you can make this task even better, there are plenty to choose from so, is more than likely that you will find one to suit your particular needs.

Playing tag
Another feature i love about Mozilla Thunderbird™ is the ability to "tag" emails, yes... you can tag your emails with some pre-defined tags and you can even create your own ones. Tagging is important because it helps you keep track of what needs to be done, without having to create tons of folders for each particular subject.

Search tool
Once again, another great plus. How many times have you browsed around your inbox trying to find that particular email a friend sent to you? You no longer need to browse every single email you have from your friend, you can actually do a search, entering some words within the content of your email, or the address it was sent from, among other criteria in order to find what you looking for really fast.

Security and SPAM control
This is yet, another feature i love. I think of Thunderbird as a learning tool that will detect what is SPAM and what is not. Very useful these days. Security is one of the main goals for Mozilla and, they are always working to create new ways to improve it, even if you are just checking your personal email address. Phishing alerts are also integrated into Mozilla Thunderbird so, if you get an email with a fake-link, you will know about it before you compromise your information or even your identity.
